It’s been a long time and I profusely apologize for my abscence.
This is my last post on this blog. Sob, sob.
I was talking to my buddy who has been wanting to open her blog for years now and told her about not writing on this blog anymore. “Amie, the person you are when you start the blog is not the person you will be in 3 years.”
A lot has happened to me and coming up with a Diaspora post is not coming naturally to me anymore. Besides, there are newer and more exciting Diaspora blogs.
I have a new stronger passion that will change the way I write and also have a big project that I’m working on.
I am starting a new blog however. That will be on my author website www.nyakarimaking.com. To keep abreast with what I am doing just read and follow me there. Subscribe to my email list!!!!
My future as an author is bright…trust me.
I’ve enjoyed my a summer bunny journey. I started it in January 2014 and currently I guest post for BAKE, Mumsvillage.com, my article has been used on Capital FM’s online page. A lot of my articles from this blog were used by bigger Diaspora blogs like www.jambonewspot.com and www.diasporamessenger.com.
I’ve learnt that getting an online reputation takes time so if you start a blog, don’t give up before a year is up…good things are coming but it actually takes time. That means in that year you are consistent, have good content …doing the right things. If you are already sending apologies to your readers in the first year..stop blogging.
A lot of people send me emails especially asking about blogging. I appreciate them and always reply and try to help.
I am also not moving to Kenya as I previously thought. At least not in December. My financial plan has not fallen in place and I am not prepared to not have enough money to buy credit or busfare in Kenya.
Plus the project I am working on needs me to be in Sweden.
I’ve posted a “Rudi Nyumbani” article on ureport.co.ke.
Thanks a lot for reading my blog…I seriously had no clue what I was doing when I started. Ninatuma salamu to Martin Oulu, Mbugua wa G., Tony of Jambonewspot and Biko Zulu of Biko Zulu, Kenya. The ladies of Mumsvillage.com plus Charles Ouda, New York.
Lots of love, Nyakarima
